my boyfriend and I just bought a 1 bedroom unit in the courts. we converted it at signing. now our association fee is $299. we are currently remodeling. for the price you get almost 900 sqr feet for nothing. you can't touch that anywhere else in middlesex or somerset county. in the past weeks i have noticed major improvements in landscape. the grass is neat and flowers are planted. yes, we found mold in the walls when we ripped them out BUT they are old buildings. you get what you pay for. so since we bought cheap we can remodel and make a gorgeous starter condo. Plus you can't beat the area-shopping, commuting and safety. if you want plus, buy in Crosspointe right next door where a 2 bedroom costs $280k for the same exact thing. As far as renting goes, I know of many units renting for just over 1000. Depending on the landlord's care of the unit it can be a great value. Parking is the only major drawback and we added a washer/ dryer to our unit.
