I just signed the lease for an apartment at wyndmoor. At first I was VERY wary about choosing an apartment there, but then we found out they're actually renovating. It's about time! My parents lived there 30 years ago and when my mom went to look with us, even she said some of the older apartments look like they've never been touched. Our apartment already has a new bathroom, new carpeting is being put in, new AC units are in, and a ceiling fan is going in the dining area. Plus, they'll spruce up the kitchens but if you want to pay an extra $25 a month (which we're doing), they'll totally gut it and put everything in brand-new. The guy showed us a kitchen that had just been redone and it looked really nice, even modern. We opted for an upstairs apartment w/o a balcony though. We went out on a few and they felt really rickety.
Since we're going to be toward the back of the complex, I wish there was a little more lighting. Also, the laundry room looks alright but it's open all the time so I won't be going down there alone at night.

Hopefully all goes well from here on! I'll be sure to make some edits otherwise.
