East Rutherford is the slums compared to Regular rutherford. I lived here for one year 2006 to 2007 because I did not know any better and was new to North Jersey. Very overpriced for what you get. My rent was $1200 for a one bedroom- yeah, they had just been renovated, but not the doors and not the windows! I couldn't open or close the windows. and if I could get them open, they wouldn't close.

The front door was a disaster as well. when it rained alot and got very hot the wood of the doors expanded so much that I couldn't open them.

On a positive note, the neighbors were all very nice, and very friendly and quiet for the most part.

I just don't think 1200 is worth it. When my lease was up, I moved a mile away to Rutherford for only $1050 a month on Union Avenue, and had a much better living experience.

Don't rent here, its crap. And Jimmy or Timmy, whatever his name is, smokes likea chimney. you'll see, i mean smell, when you go to sign a lease.
