Pros:
- Good location, 2 miles from exit 8 on NJ TPK; 1 mi from shoprite and other stores on Rt. 130.
- Quiet most of times. No parties in or out on the lawn.
- management regularly puts money into improvements (new asphalt into parking lot, new washers and dryers)
- maintenance staff are friendly
- bike racks available
- heat, water included
- free parking.

Cons:
- 2 months ago the parking spots have become unsufficient. We hope it's just temporary.
- thin and squeeky floors (I could hear my neighbor below snoring, he can hear us walking)
- sometimes (rarely, I admit) a few of the residents or their visitors use the car horns early in the morning, or turn the car radio up when they come home at night. It's just a couple of minutes until they take the ignition key out, but I am sure this wakes up everyone at 3am.
- only one AC unit per apartment is not enough. Also, it's quite old and rather ineffective.
- one instance of (petty') theft, that I am aware of: they stole the rear wheel of my bicycle, which was locked on the bike racks. I have not heard of other crimes, though.
- I remember that it took the staff one day to take care of the snow in the parking lot and drives last winter. However, it was a Sunday and when they finished, the property looked better than the town's streets.
- Price is a bit high.
- relatively far from public transportation.

Miscellaneous.
- around 50% residents from S.America, generally very nice.
- Young community - quite a few kids around. Nevertheless, they seem well behaved.

We'll have to move soon from here, but we warmly recommend it to others.

After having moved out in Jan 2006, we miss this apartment very much. I need to add that the management was quick to return the deposit and interest to us. They also sent us an additional $15 'thank you' check for filling in a 3-question questionaire (did you like it here/ what could we have done to keep you our tenant/ what improvements would you suggest). Looking back at the noise issue, it's nothing compared to our new apt. in the city we moved. I'm not saying it was not an issue, but it could have been much much worse. We strongly recommend Garden View Apartments.
