Disappointing, to say the least.

I've been at Eaton Crest for almost a year now. I loved my apartment for the first few months, but I've come to resent the rate that I pay to live here and am dying to get out.
When it's cold outside, my windows have condensation inside, 24/7. Plenty of black mold.
Had a ceiling leak, called maintenance. By the time they came (the next morning), it had stopped, so they decided it was fine. Found another wet spot the next day, called the office. Nobody ever returned my call. Hey, it's their property -- not my problem if the ceiling caves in. I explained my concerns in person (as must be done with all complaints, since nobody answers the phone or returns messages) and they offered to remove the water stain. Completely missed the point.
I found out that the last tenant moved out of my apt. because of some neighbors, a young couple with a baby. The man sells drugs out of his apartment, beats his spouse loudly and frequently (the police have been here multiple times, once at 1:30 a.m.), and throws trash out the kitchen window. Management acknowledges these problems but refuses to do anything. I spoke with police about the drugs, and the detective told me to be angry with whomever recommended this complex to me. He said that he has been beaten up here more than once, to the point of needing surgery.
I'm leaving after a brief lease extension (with extremely confiscatory fees), as I am trying to find and purchase a home. If you still want to move to Eaton Crest, just don't rent a downstairs apartment. The private entrance is great, but you will hear every single thing that goes on above you.
