Management doesn't care,

I've had more than few issues while living here.

1) Mariners does not have any Guest parking. They will not tell you this until a contract is signed.

2)They've given us new keys and made us return old keys for the door on the building. Maintenance were supposedly changing the locks. It's been about 2 month now, they have not changed the locks. I can't open the door closest to my parking space. I've complained repeatedly. I do not get any actions or response.

3) I was assigned a parking space and told to go through a building to get there. Well, they now decided to install different keys to differnt buildings. I was denied a request for a key to a second building, which I go through.

Because of issue #2 and #3, I am forced to walk approximately 400 feet from my car to my building.

4) One day, I had a court order posted on the front door for not paying my rent. Turns out that they made a mistake. I've been payin my rent on time. A prior courtesy call or a note left through the bottom of the door would have been a professional thing to do.

5) Because there are no guest parking spots, people park all over the place. Many will park directly behind your space or in some ridiculous spots, which inconvenience you. Management do not enforce the parking issues at all.

6) They allow pets, which is good. (I have kittys) But, I have a neighbor that leaves tow yapping dogs on the porch all day. It doesn't bother me, but I would be upset if I was closer to that unit. Again, the mangement does not seem to care to enforce any rules.

7) There is a broken bench in the court yard. It's been there ever since I moved in. It doesn't bother me, but it speaks to the attitude of the management team here. It would be very easy to just throw it out.

8) Like many buildings around this area, the ground has shifted. Do not be surprised to see cracks on the wall going through the whole length of the wall. My building has parts with half inch gaps, where building has torn apart due to shifting.

9) They did not work out the architecture of the floor plans, when they built this place. Many doors open in to another doors. My bath room door opens in to my shower glass door, which greatly concerns me. Also, one of my cabinet door opens in to a glass lighting fixiture, which I've promptly broke on the second day of residence.

Summary:
The units are confortable, but management staff leaves lots to be desired. However, the complex is relatively new, so it does not pose any big issues. I would hate to be here in a decade or so, since the units are being poorly maintained and was poorly built.

One or two issues will not bother me, but having many issues points to lack of proper management. Further, any complaints on problems will fall on deaf ears. Managment staff is polite, but will not do any thing in the end.

Did you live in the Tower or the Landings? Just curious. Thanks!

Like the area and the apartment. Do not know who the owner is! Apartments nicely designed, environment is nice and good means of transportation. However material used to build are very chaeap, so are equipment installed. Rusty shelves in dishwater and fridges, lot left undone or incomplete in apartments. Walls not painted for new tenants only some touches or washing spots. Carpets are not well cleaned, so are bathrooms for new tenants. Air circulation brings pets odor around apartments and hallways. Slow response to problems, it took months and months to fix doors to buildings, management claimed it is change of weather, but it was ground shift. Not well lit areas between buildings, a little scary in the evening. Manager decided suddenly that satellite dishes (been there for years)are not permitted on roofs, proceeded on already bringing them down (not by dish companies), plans to do the same with ones on balconies. Manager sent a list of DON"T, without consulting with tenants and of course who knows if done with the company owning the complex (that no one knows).
