Section 8 low income housing and you pay for what you get. This place is LOUD and nothing ever gets fixed. Their maintenance people are horrible and we have had checks stolen from us when they redid the carpets. We still have an unfinished ceiling from Christmas Eve when the pipes leaked and flooded our living room from the upstairs bathroom. Its June...thats 6 months and still no repair to the ceiling. The people are loud at night, constantly setting off fireworks and loud music and not just on 4th of July. This is all year around. The management is rude and unhelpful. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone...all you ever get is recordings. The kids are running around unsupervised in the streets and little kids are cursing and screaming till late at night. There has been a major increase in the drugs simply because management will let anyone in here and the people that have moved in are so low class and trashy its unbelievable. We are out of here in 2 months and I am praying that no one gets hurt or killed in this complex because it has gotten sooo bad.

Quite the opposite of the comments above. I've lived at Colonial Square since it's inception. Yes, it has changed over 20 years, but I must say in the whole time I've lived there, I've never had any problems. I've got plenty of heat, hot water, central air - no roaches, no break-ins (at least not near my unit). Sure the kids are loud, and occassionally low-life, but they're the exception rather than the rule. If you're looking for a decent place in a superb town, then Colonial Square is the place.

We lived there when it first opened in 1983.It was not too bad at first, that is until our next door neighbor moved in, complete with pittbulls that ate the interior of his brand new car. He also was dealing and his son told us he had a gun, just like the one that the cops wore. We couldn't wait to get the hell out of there and did so as soon as we had the money. In fact we moved to another state a good 5 hour drive away! As for getting things fixed, sure if you had beer to give the maintenance man you could get anything fixed! Like the first reviewer said, if you like the ghetto, move right on in! That sums it up to a tee.
