I stayed here for two years.. here is a SWAT analysis..
strengths.
* big apartments
* safe neighbourhood
* good staff(except for sharon), maintainance people come when called.
* snow is cleaned quite quickly.
* big complex so has enough area to take an evening stroll
Weaknesses
* Some houses are pretty old.
* water is cut during daytime without prior notice.(It happened 5 times during my stay)
* No close by shopping
* No close by public transprotation(walkable)
* heater/a.c. duct in the smaller bedroom in a two bedroom apartment dont work .

Opportunities
* If you wish to sublease your apartment there will be plenty of people to take it.
* Children have lot of play area

Threats
* Middlesex management has no month to month lease after complition of first year lease term

I stayed here for 6 years. If you don't have to deal with management and maintenance it may be OK. But since thse aprtments are old and had lot of tragedies before like gas pipe explosion, car thefts, indecent behaviour activities in the playing area, garbage stinks it would be very difficult to keep quite and not complain to management. I defer to disagree with your review.

How do you define safety ? It was a safe place to live few years ago, until the teenagers from outside started coming in. New tenants - beware ..think again if you really wanna live here. There is all nasty things happening after dark, the new security patrol is useless.
