It has been over a month. We are sitting in 92 degrees at home. Even after more than 100 repeated calls they have not come to fix the air-conditioning units. The problem is that maintenance works from 8.30 to 4.30 Mon-Fri. I have taken several days off so that they can come and fix the AC unit. However, they have not turned up. I would appreciate if someone would suggest me a legal recourse to this problem.

I am not sure if someone has given you advise. While I am not an attorney and cannot legally advise you, I can tell you that as a teneant you have rights. If you are paying your rent in return you are to be provided a healthy, clean, safe environment. One thing you can do is right the management comapnay and advise them that you are witholding your rent because repairs are not being made. That should get them moving faster.

You can try "Joshep F" , , this is for garden home but don't count much, due to these kind of supervisors, condition here is bad as everyone knows, nothing would be done by their bosses.. Hope that helps.
