I lived in this complex from 1994 to 2001.

These are just a few of the problems I encounted during my stay:

1) During the blizzard of 1996 when a State of Emergency was declared by the Governor, I was charged $50.00 (late fee) because my rent was not posted until after the 5th of the month.

I was told that an Act of God was no excuse for not having my rent in on time (my check was mailed on the 12/30/1995).

I was also hit with late fees when I had a name change.

I would drop my rent off at the lock box in Newark on the first of each month.

My rent was posted on the 6th of each month.

They did this for 3 months.

2) I returned from vacation to discover my utility room was filled with water.

Maintence showed up and told me that there was no leak and that I should mop up the water before it leaked on the downstairs neighbor.

Only after getting a complaint from the neighbor downstairs did they replace the hotwater heater (1 week later).

3) I was advised by maintence that I would have to pay to have my toilet unstopped since plunging it did't seen to work.

4) It took 3 week to fix my front door that did not lock.

5) I had to put plastic on the windows during the winter in order to keep down my gas consumption.

6) Well traveled areas were not well lite.

The lights would go out in the parking lot, and even though there was a super who's apartment overlooked my very dark parking lot, it would take several phone calls to the management office to have the lights replaced.

This was also the case for the lights on the landing of each floor.

7) The parking lots were plowed after you shoveled yourself out.

I would never recommend this place to anyone.
