I am considering renting an apartment either at Blueberry or Edison Village. However there are a few questions which I wish could be addressed before I decide on taking the lease namely

1)Are the apartments maintained in a proper condition' How is the heating system in the apartment during winter'

2) Are there any pests/ rodents problem in the apartments'

3) Is the Gym (health club) within walking distance of the apartment'

4) How much time does it take to walk up to the Edison train station'

5) How safe is the neighborhood'

A prompt response from somebody living in the apartment will be highly appreciated.

Hmmm, gym. Never seen one. Been there going on three years. Maintenance is hit or miss. When I first moved in they responded somehwat quickly. But sometimes they are good sometimes it's awful. I had no airconditioning during the heatwave this summer (over a hundred degree weather). And had to stay home for days in that weather to get them to come. When they did finally show up it worked for two days and then went out again. Perhaps it's the wiring in the apartment. But I definitely don't want to be there for the next heatwave. I pay too much money to be sweating in my apartment unable to sleep. Rent's gone up slightly since I moved in, but it's not bad. Takes me about 10 minutes from my location to get to the train. But I work in NJ now so it's no longer necessary. NEighborhood is safe. Nice people. I haven't had any pest problems. I live in Blueberry Village. I pay for my own heat so heating is fine. My problem was that the windows don't shut properly (had that problem when I moved in and they never really fixed it (so heating bill can be high with it flying out the window - I sealed it with tape last winter).
