You have to adjust a bit

I am living here, and am in my sixth year now. This is very close to the trains, just 3 to 5 minutes walk depending on where you live. The apartment is decent, rent is at $1085 for my 1 bed apartment, which is low by Edison standards. Walmart, Kohls, Blockbuster, Shoprite, and restaurants are very close by - all within 10 minutes drive. Maintenance has generally been responsive and polite, but we have had our share of problems from time to time.
Our bathtub was getting clogged and used to fill up when the neighbors bathed. They somehow managed to fix it, but only after multiple trips to my house.
Then there is a garbage collector (seems to be russian), who is very rude. My wife asked him a question one day and he did not respond, just acted as if she did not exist. He is also very particular about recycling papers. He only wants to see newspapers, wrapped and tied up! He actually came to our house by reading the postage labels on a magazine and started scolding my wife and threatened to put a fine. I complained about him and now he seems to have mellowed down.
We have had a bed bug infestation - that is true. We called management and they sent an exterminator, who sprayed everything in sight. We stayed at a friends house for 3 nights because of my infant. The management did not agree to replace our old carpet, even though it was sprayed with chemicals which could be harmful to my son.
Recently the management has improved. The lawn is not well maintained though. They do a fair job of snow removal.
I hope this review helps. If you are looking for temporary accommodation, with trains very nearby, this is the place for you. You have to adjust just a little bit, but isn't that what life is about'

Are there bed bugs/ roaches in Edison Village ? I am planning on moving there and the rent is $1230 for 1br. Might as well move somewhere else if I have to pay this price for a roaches infested place.
Kindly reply.

Of late everyone who reviews edison village has complained about bed bugs . Some stick on while others pack up . Looks like the only ones who are happy to stick on are the ones who have already stayed for a long time and have either learnt to fight it out or have given up on life altogether.
