We lived at Millbrook Village for 5 years. It was a great place to live for the price! The Good: The walls were well insultated so we rarely had a problem with noise. The community college across the street with the park behind it made a nice place to walk or play tennis (they have a walking trail and tennis courts). Apartment was close to major roads (NJTPK, GSP, Routes 1, and 287). The apartments on Sunrise Drive are more modern than Horizon but, on Sunrise all apartments are electric (high bills) whereas on Horizon there is baseboard heat (oil) and gas (low utility). If you live on Horizon you will need an AC unit for your bedroom (CAC is only available on Sunrise) because the huge unit in the living room will only cover the LR, DR, and Kitchen. Parking was okay but, assigned parking would have been nice The bad: Paint on the walls was cheap and pealed easily. The families with children let there kids run around on the complex streets (like they are a playground) in the complex during the summer months...so be careful driving through! You are forced to pay for a pool fee even if you do not use the pool.

lived here on horizon dr. for two years. people downstairs were completely unruly and cared nothing about their neighbors. noisy kids, basketball net in the apartment, kids constantly created noise violations at all times of the night. people have tannent violations,subletting, and pets in the apartment. sent letters to the management offices, and phoned many, many compliants to them as well. called police on several occaisions, nothing was done whatsoever, by anyone.kids turned grass field in the back of horizon by the front road into a football field, tearing up grass, creating a messy muddy path to walk across, constantly hitting our vehicles with the football, setting off alarms, and a complete dis-respect for all neighbors property, parents who were responsible for the kids did not supervise them at all, letting them run rampant, and cared nothing about the people who are their neighbors, individuals or property. grounds workers were not good repairmen, response time for called in repairs were not good at all. apartments in horizon are drafty, floors are very poorly insulated, or not insulated at all. car was stolen out of the parking lot in 2006, poor lady was devastated. so protection is obviously a problem. rent for these apartments are too high in my opinion and to pay for a pool you will never use is obsurd. my opinion on millbrook is on a 1-10 scale a 2. recommend you buy a house instead of resorting to paying for high prices all around the edison area. especially if you have children and are horrible at raising them. be responsible and do everyone a favor, keep you under-raised, under educated, irresponsible children away from apartment living. you take away the peace and quiet and good neighbor living we all pay for and so rightly deserve!
