I don't know why so many people complain about this complex--what do you expect'' We have a two bedroom apt. & pay only $1160 a month. It is very reasonable compared to the twenty other complexes we looked at in Edison & the surrounding areas. I have never had a problem; I always see maintenance out on the grounds; raking leaves, sweeping the hallways, and the one time we've gotten snow this year that actually stuck, they were out right away with the snowblowers & salt for the sidewalks & walkways. Our neighbors are nice enough, but mostly keep to themselves. The only problem I've run into thusfar is my elderly upstairs neighbor slipping a note under my door telling me that my two year-old is "too loud" & "interrupting her rest". Honestly, I DON'T CARE. People who complain about children have obviously never had any themselves, and don't understand that KIDS MAKE NOISE. As far as parking, people always seem to scramble to get the close spaces first, but I'm sure you'll have that in any complex. The bedrooms are HUGE, you have plenty of closet space, the appliances are decent, but the stoves cook really quickly, so if you don't keep a very close eye on your food, you it may be a LITTLE overdone. I love our hardwood floors; they are beautiful & easy to care for. We have noticed that there are lots of spiders in the apartment. Noise can be a problem sometimes--the neighbor that complained about our daughter can be heard vacuuming, rearranging furniture, and just walking throughout the apartment. I think it's mostly because upstairs tenants are supposed to carpet their own apartments, and do not. I say if it's really that big of an annoyance, then buy a house because no matter what complex you live in, people make noise. The only other con I can think of is how hot the apartments are. Your heat is included in the rent, so you do not have controls in your apartment, and the place is BURNING UP. We usually keep a few windows open, and that eliminates the problem. It clearly says in the lease that no pets are allowed, but I see cats running around on the grounds & sitting in people's windowsills. Overall, I like this place, and have never felt unsafe here. I would recommend this complex to others. I would like to see more young families with kids & less old, crotchity complaining types in my building. ; )
