My husband and I moved in February of this year. I must say that we LOVE our apartment. Here are some pros and some cons:

Pros:
-Our kitchen is HUGE, dishwasher and large enough to put in a table.
-Our closets are HUGE including a large walk in closet in the living room.
-Our bedroom is HUGE and so is our den. Our previous apt's den was 1/2 the size!
-Our apartment overall is very spacious.
-AFFORDABLE! We only pay 1005 for a 1br with a den which includes heat, gas and water.
-The pool is great, never overcrowded, mostly kids.
-We have a nice balcony.
-We have never NOT found parking, even when we've come home at 2am.
-The area itself is quiet considering that we are surrounded by highway.
-Carol and Beth at the leasing office were wonderful and always available to help.
-We called Carol at the leasing office once about our heat and the landlord arrived in half hour to check it for us.
-Playground freshly built for the kids, very nice.
-The ground maintenance is great, snow shoveled right away this winter during storms and fresh plants planted right away in spring.
-New roofing and siding being done this summer as well.
-Complex overall is very family oriented. Most people are married and/or married with children. A great place to have children, most kids are between toddler and pre-teen ages.
-Library! The Edison Library's Bookmobile comes to the complex twice a month, so if you get our of work late they can bring your book right to the complex. Its awesome. They come from like 7-8:30 or so, late enough so people can actually make it. You can even get a library card on the bus and return or rent out books.
-Both living room and bedroom had a built in airconditioner that both work wonderful.

Cons:
-Noise: Now let me clarify. I cant hear my neighbors talking or anything like that but when they all exit their apartments (even if they dont slam hard), the sound of them closing the door magnifies and sounds like our own door is being slammed. We can also hear when they close their doors in their apartment and it sounds like its coming from our own apartment (mind you I live on the 2nd floor).

-Floor Shakes: My floor shakes like CRAZY! It literally feels like if a giant is running across our floor. It has shaken to the point that we have had to inspect the apartment trying to figure out what made it shake. We also often hear loud bangs that shake our floor. I have no clue where they come from since we live on the 2nd floor but the leasing office said our apartment has a water heater or boiler in it that may contribute to this. I dont think this is the cause of the shaking but at this point have NO CLUE what is! I am very laid back but some days I want to rip my hair our from the shaking.
