Spacious, Great Maintenance staff, but Noise and Theft problems

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
The old hollow wood construction and three
floors here means you hear sounds of
other apartments - whether people walking
or washing machine in unit etc.
If you get an apartment on the 2nd floor,
then you may get plenty of nighttime
noise from the 3rd floor which is very
popular with students.
So the noise problem has much to do with
what neighbours you have, whether you
are hard of hearing...
Car theft is very common, I lost a car door,
others lose wheels, headlamps etc so get comprehensive auto insurance with rental car coverage - budget for this hidden cost.
Indeed, so common that I think the thief is almost surely a resident here. Watch out
especially around July 4th.
Rental office and maintenance staff except super can be very rude, but they make up
somewhat for it with quicker service than
you find in other apartments. Have a thick
skin.
