You get what you pay for

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
My husband and I moved into this place sight unseen. Since we were relocating from another state, we did everything on the internet. The monthly rental rate was appealing compared to most other competitors. But you get what you pay for. The grounds are the ugliest I have ever seen. Absolutely no landscaping with trash all over the place. Pot holes in the parking lots. Dumpsters ALWAYS overflowing. And that's just outside the apartment. I do like all the space we have. THe master bdrm is huge with a nice walk in closet. I have to warn you about the hot water though. You cannot take a hot shower when the heat is on. I ran out of hot water so fast once that my husband had to heat some up in a teapot for me to rinse off with. Talk about frusturating. There is absolutely no insulation in the walls. Literally. We bought some vertical blinds for the sliding glass doors since they do not provide them. When we put them up as we drilled, the wall just crumbled. There was no insulation. It's so bad that you cannot even sit close to a window in the winter. YOu can feel a draft. The walls are super thin. I can hear everything and I mean everything. When I try to contact mgmt, I never get an answer. I think there's only one person who works in the office and she never answers the phone. When she does, she always sounds like you're bothering her. She's just plain awful. I suppose for the money it's acceptable. Let me also say that I am in the property management industry so that may jade my view.
