I vacated 79A Apartment in the month of August 2005. I have still not received my security deposit. This is taking awfully long time to settle.

Please send back the security deposit immediately. You can send it to 79, Hana Road, Edison, NJ 08817.

You can sue the management company for double your security deposit in small claims court. You should ask for triple since it took so long. Trust me the apartment complex will lose and it is worth your time. Let them argue with you in court. Without solid proof by the apartment complex you win. Their reasons mean nothing including proof of getting new carpeting or painting the place. They have to do that anyway and doesn't mean you did anything wrong. Don't mediate or bargain with them unless you get double your deposit. Go to court.
