Compromise with noisy neighbors' Buy thick curtains for the light' These are some of the most idiotic recommendations I've ever heard. I lived in a loft for $1325/mo and it WAS NOT CHEAP compared to other places around the area. There are many problems with Oxford Arms. Luxury, I think not. More like Suxury. Here's the inside scoop.

-A bit far off from public transportation.
-Near large electric towers that have been known to cause cancer with the radiation and poisoning of the ground.
-Filled with lots of -------. They're just people like everyone else, but they cook that damn curry all the time. The smell seeps right through the thin floors and walls sticking to it.
-Near lots of large trees like a forest. It attracts lots of critters that you may not be used to unless you are Indian. The sticky curry attracts the bugs too.
-I have nothing to say about Old Lady's demeanor. So what if she's mean, she's about business. What IS F***ED UP ABOUT HER is that OLD LADY IS A LIAR. I have heard her lying on the phone and to prospective and current tenants. To her, it's all about business and what the hell does she care if you suffer for a year' She doesn't live there. There's a fine line between lying for business and lying that can really hurt families and lives. Old Lady is causing real harm and she will answer for it. Don't trust her lies and don't be afraid to snap right back at her. If enough people write letters to management if she steps out of line, Tired Old Lady will be Fired Old Lady.
-Thin floors and walls so you can hear your neighbors. Ask them to be quiet' HAHAHAHA. Why should the property be so cheap' If they just spent a bit more on new sound proofing materials, their retention rate would be much higher.
-Really old school bathrooms and kitchens. The tiles look like my grandma's tiles.
-Cheap wooden doors that look like toy doors.
-High ceilings in loft make for high utilities.
-Amenities are very poor. Don't play tennis too often or you'll be exposing yourself to that giant powerline nearby.

The only good thing about this place is a play area for kids. Just drive to your local park for the kids to play and move somewhere else. True rental value of Oxford Arms Loft - $750/mo.

Buddy, Probably you need to be in Amazon jungle to find no Indian. Why not pay the same amount in mortgage and own a home somewhere far from the cities/towns and villeges AND curry smell?!? Do your homework enough before pointout. Agreed that the old lady is arrogant. But, if you respect her, she will reciprocate. And she very much lives there in the same community.

Hi I was planning to rent an aptt at Oxford Arms. I am interested in what you mentioned about the Elecric Towers and power line nearby. Please let me know more on this. How far might the Electric Towers be and again how far away is the power line running? Is it the higher voltage Transmission line or the regular streat electricity line. The distance from the tower/ trasmission line is the key. Please let me have your view early, since I have to decide on the aprtment in 1-2 days max. Thanks.

totally agree with u that old fart neeeds to be firrred!!! i hate her with a passion....but then again the sper is a nice guy.
