My apt was very clean when I moved in. Appliances were working, floors and carpet clean, freshly painted, mini blinds, ceiling fan in dining rm, a/c units built in in bedrm and living rm. The neigbors are nice working people. Some people have lived here over ten years so they must like it here. They know management and maintenance by their first names and speak highly of them. Not many children in complex, there are a few teenagers (they are quiet) or go out of complex to socialize. My youngest plays and rides her scooter with other kids from building. No play area, but kids play on sidewalks and grass and nearby woods. I feel very safe here at all times. This place is out of the way, yet right next to route 1. On weekends some younger tenants may have parties which can be noisy but overall quiet here. Landscaping is OK, landscapers are here regularly. Snow removal is prompt and very good, sidewalks shoveled and salted. Driveways and parking plowed if you move your car. Heat included, can get too hot in apt in winter, but can open widows as needed. Laundry is clean and machines work well. There are other laundromats in the area as well. Only annoyance is the dogs, most people cleanup after their dogs, but some do not. All dogs are kept on a leash, not many in my building. Pool is being cleaned for the summer, looks good so far, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and chairs near pool area. We are next to the river and the Rutgers rowing team goes by which is nice. Shopping is great, pathmark and shoprite, route 1 and route 18 nearby. Menlo park and Woodbridge malls nearby. Lots of movie theatres, one across water in New Brunswick. Schools are good in Edison. Great park nearby in Highland Park with playgrounds, soccer, baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts, jogging, boating, picnic tables and barbecue grills. Great restaurants, nightlife, Rutgers, in New Brunswick, 5 mins away. You don't need a car, althouh preferred, I have seen people walking and take taxis here.
