I stayed in these apartments from mid 2006 to late 2007 and had mainly rented because these apartments had the least negative reviews of all complexes on this website - I never had many furnishings and traveled for my job routinely
The positives were that parking had always been available - You do have a river view and are close to some nice restaurants, shopping centers, and a movie theater right across the river - I never had a safety issue with regards to me, my apartment, or my car
The negatives are that these buildings are 40-plus years old! - The heating system is controlled not by a thermostat in each unit but a master control in the boiler room - You are either sweating bullets or freezing - There are huge water bugs (roaches) that come in - There are communal shower walls so you can hear all your neighbors' business and some amateur American Idol contestants - Repairs for water damage and a malfunctioning fire alarm took several weeks to fix
Princeton has better rentals available and do not be concerned if you have to pay utlities which amount to $100 extra per month - As for getting your security deposit back, you need to document all your issues with the front office via written notice (fax or certified mail) - You should not be hold responsible for damages that had promptly been reported or caused by incompetent contractors installing heat vents who dented, dinged, and scratched several walls

Yes and Yes. I lived there for three years and when I vacated my house, I made it spotless clean. I freaking hired cleaning people and also I cleaned every corner of the house with bleach and windex. They still charged me $100 and took it out from my security deposit. I truly agree it's safe and great location. But, I couldn't tolerate waterbugs. The management do nothing about waterbugs. Also, I had no heat in winter. They gave me electronic heater and let me pay electricity and reimburse the bill from my rent. Very inconvinient. Pat, the super was pretty nice and cleaned snow religiously even if it's 2 AM in the morning.
