I have lived here for only a short time. I was skeptical after reading some of these reviews but remember those are from people who have had individual bad experiences.
I find that the vast majority of the tennants are extremely friendly, helpful, the building is exactually what you would expect from a city apartment building built in the 60's.
I have had no trouble with rodents thus far, I work all shifts and do not fear walking from my car to the building, and feel that the pro's out weigh the cons.
The rent is on the hight side but you have a bus stop at the corner, a train station 2 1/2 blocks away, three blocks from Midtown Elizabeth, and 1/2 a mile from Elmora Ave. The utilities are included, and Maintenance is helpful when they are available.
And on the elevators....they are being upgraded.
Great neighbors and positive experience make this a great place to live
