Not a positive environment for the average healthy-minded individual.

Oakwood Plaza is a drug-dealer and bed bug-infested environment. It is subsidized housing, but many of the tenants are stuck there because they cannot afford to live elsewhere. This "Community" is not appropriate to raise a morally fit family. I lived there several years, and I don't recommend any decent person live there. It's a depressing environment for those who adore peace, quiet and cleanliness. It may look nice on the outside but don't be fooled. The elevators don't often work in some or all the buildings, there are drug dealers in the stairwells (the one that is open), some apts. have bed bugs, the stairwells in some buildings tend to be filthy when it's NOT inspection time, and there have been many complaints about loud music vibrating the walls of its victims. If you want to be happy, don't move to Oakwood in Elizabeth! PS the waiting list is about four to five years long. Surrounding neighborhood is very decent, only the "Community" sucks.
