I was just surfing the web when I decide to key in Oakwood Plaza, Elizabeth, New Jersey. Not even an hour ago myself and some other tenants were talking about the issues that remain a concern at the property. The property has been sold, and they have not informed the tenants of change of ownership,our windows are currently bricked in (to the outside hallways)which means if we have a fire the smoke will remain trapped in the building. Our living enviroment here at Oakwood has been on rapid decline since 1998, and has gotten increasingly worse... I personally have contacted news stations heree in NJ.and the story has been aired, spoke up to local newspaper reporters and all to no avail. Is complaining the answer' Yes,in one respect but also prayer, Jesus Christ is the only one that keeps my family going living in this situation, we could'nt afford to move with children and not being prepared to buy our own home(credit etc..) But our faith is what kept us sane. Listen, everybody makes choices that can result in living in one of these places, but don't stay there, take the proper steps(education, fixing your credit..) to GET OUT!!!! And if like us your change still won't come right away, know that JESUS LOVES YOU AND WILL PROVIDE FOR YOUR EVERY NEED ..IF YOU COME TO HIM! BE Encouraged! Low rent is Not worth your self esteem, and your childrens' future, Don't waste your time here at oakwood the Devils Playground will soon be closed 4 the night, But if your looking for affordable rent (like us ) consider moving out-of- state, better 4 you and your kids!

I know exactly what you mean, I moved out and now they say I owe them 4000 they are sick
