I lived their when it was called pierc manner, then it was calle oakwood plaza (1977 thru 1988)But my parents moved across the street to Elmwood Pl from (1988 thru 1994)
i grow up in this neiborhood, and it was bad then and it still bad.I lived in F & C Bluiding. The Drug was really bad when i was growing up. Shout out,and drive bys.
My parent finally move to Monroe pl in 1994. Now that i'm grown and with kids my self
there no way that i will ever go back to living in such conditions. At the time it was just my one kid,and as soon as i got a change i move on of Jersey all to gether in 1996.I now live in Delaware in the burbs. And i also got my parent out as well in 2002. I do go back just so my kids can see. Just when they though life is tough for them someone has it alot worse. And it keeps me grounded. You never forget where you come from. FYI back then i was a drug dealer:( I still have childhood friend that still live in this godoffal place.

You're right, "It's Still Bad"...we never forget. And I'll not soon forget being eaten alive by bed bugs and waking up to hear them crawling on my pillow. I'll never forget that the management office knew there was a bed bug problem and didn't say ----. I found out when I stopped in at the office during a day off from work. And Lo and Behold, there was a one page article posted on the bulletin board. How about putting that info under people's doors and doing a building-wide extermination? so I didn't have to get up in wee hours of the mornng in a panic, bleaching down the bedroom floors and hallways and bombing the apt. to curtail the voracious, blood-thirsty pests? That was their job, but no, they didn't say ----...I can't say that enough times. I have scars on my legs from being bit.
One day, I'm going to post on my blog the pictures I took of nasty, filthy human feces in the hallway; the ceiling paint bubbled from the rain; and the stairwell stairs blackened with filth, riddled with puddles of piss and strewn with garbage.
Nope! I won't EVER forget Oakwood Plaza!!! Gee, thanks for the memories.
