I've lived here for 1.5 years. I don't have too many complaints. I live in the newer section of the complex. The rooms are very spacious. I have never had issues with parking, but I have seen some buildings that have less parking then mine. You can hear some noise from the neighbors, but this is to be expected in any apartment building. Landscape is average, nothing special. It is well-lit and I have never felt unsafe. Maintainence is a little slow but they do get everything done when asked. The only time I had an issue with the air was at the beginning of the season and they sent somebody out to fix it (it's an issue with how the thermostat switches). It's not drafty, as the prior reviewer stated. The letter he or she indicates is regarding their concern for safety and not having pipes freeze, which is a spandard thing that you do in houses when you are not in the area. I have enjoyed living here without too many complaints.

I have lived in homes and never had to run water for the pipes not to freeze and I guess the newer section has many differences because the majority here seem to have overwhelming problems in this community so you must either be very lucky or management

how much did management pay you to write this comment?

For the original poster to say that"Oakdump is not drafty as the prior reviewer stated", you seemed to have missed the other 89 posters here, many of which say IT IS DRAFTY. Furthermore, you don't live in their particular building OR apartment do you??
There is NO INSULATION in ANY of these buildings. That would have cost them $$$. Top that with poor quality windows and what do you get?? A DRAFTY DUMP!! This means your electric bill or gas bill, for that matter is outrageous, even for a one bedroom 800 square foot dump.
As one of the other posters mentioned, it is INSANE for management(and I use THAT term loosely) to mail out letters every winter season asking that you leave cabinet doors open, heaters on, garage doors closed and have your water running so that the pipes dont freeze. What kind of professional facility runs their business like this?? The pipes STILL FREEZE even if you have done all the following. It's because they dont put insulation AROUND the pipes. How much money would it cost them to do this? It would SAVE them money in the long run because each time those pipes DO freeze, maintenance is called at all hours of the day or night and has to poke holes in the flooring and use a heater to melt the frozen pipes(multiply that by 1100 tenants). Again, INSANE and INCOMPETENT management. It all stems from KUSHNER and his klan of corrupt and greedy scumbags. When he has supported so many corrupt politicians(Our newly elected scumbag governer for one)its pretty hard to get to the root of the issues here at Oakdump and all the other facilities that he owns. He knows how to pay people off so that he can continue to run companies this way.

I've lived in the newer section for 2 years now. I stay because the rent is cheap for the amount of space. However, the draft is ridiculous!! I first noticed it while washing dishes. The draft comes right through the cabinet. There is no way I'm leaving the cabintet open to let the cold air come through. I insulated the back of the cabinet with styrofoam board. I'm upstairs and also have a draft at my main door from the hallway. The new front doors on the buildings are not as heavy and don't always close. This has increased the draft. Also, my bedroom window doesn't completely close. It was like that when I moved in. Maintenence shut it with some muscle but didn't fix the problem (frame is bent). I opened it for some summer air but now can't close it again. The space is great... but the quality is horrible!!
