PLEASE realize that the tenants downstairs can hear EVERY SINGLE STEP you take, everything you're watching on TV or listening to on the radio, every conversation and every creak of the bed (if you catch my drift). PLEASE realize that the hardwood floors amplify EVERY single sound, and if you're wearing heels it sounds like you're hammering the floor!

Thanks for good post. I live lower floor with family of three living upstairs. I dont mind them wlaking etc but they are crazy about inviting their extended family in week ends. Sometimes they are 10-12 people sleeping there and my God the noise level is like war zone. It is really bad when they are having party (wich is usually every weekend!)

It's their apartment and they are allowed to do whatever they want in it...if you didn't want to hear people walking above you then you should have rented a 2nd floor apartment.

Guess what? It's the same way if you live upstairs, you can hear everything that happens downstairs as well. This place has NO insulation

I live upstairs because i thought ahaead because at the last place we lived we lived in two diffrent apartments on the first floor. But here i decided i was living upstairs even though i am diabled and have a hard time with the stairs. I dont mind hearing people walking around. I dont mind the flushing of the toliet in the middle of the night. Cant stand the beer pong parties. both my husband and i have both tried talking to them and never listened to us. so we called management. they told us to call cops if there is a party in the middle of teh night which i have had to do several times after trying to talk to the tenants. now the cops say they will have to bring this to court if it continues. which is fine with me because i am not doing anything wrong.but it sounds like they live above us.i COULDNT BELIEVE IT THE FIRST TIME I HEARD IT.I thought i was hearing someone in the attic.
