Could be Cheaper From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/24/2008 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2008 1 response   I've been at Oakwood for 3 yrs. and I have to say it's been one of the nicest places I've ever lived at. Leasing center was very professional, were able to get back to me within 3 bussiness days if I was approved or not. At the time the $1140 rent was attractive for a 2BR/2BA, central air & hardwood floors, compared to others. Before you sign make sure you see the actual apartment you are getting. The models can fool you, some actual apartments are bigger, specially the end units. MAINTANCE NEEDS A OVERHAUL!!! Maintaince is not so efficient, they have come right away for the minor stuff. But when you call for like your AC in a heat wave they take there time. I've has a window that is cracked for 2 yrs and is yet to be replaced. NEW OWNERES!!! New owners Morgan Properties. In some way are improving. Updated units, include maple cabinets, granite like countertops, all new black appliances and microhood. Bathrooms with new vanities and light fixtures and washer/dryer in unit. All those updates, there's a price to pay. I would recommened this place to friends and family, but they do need to get there act together in some ways. Don't be fooled by our ratings, not everybody's experience is the same.
