First off, don't listen to these negative reviews. The parking can be a pain, but that's because most tenants choose to use their spacious garages as storage instead of for parking a car! If more people used their garages for a car, parking wouldn't be an issue.
Secondly, the apartments are spacious and worth the money. They are mostly town house style and well equiped. The neighbors are quite nice and the neighborhood is well groomed and taken care of. The only exception is the lower income apartments down the block which are kind of out of place in this cute little area. Takes away from the luxury apartment/neighborhood feel.
Thirdly, we've had minor maintenance issues (including a flood in the basement area) and maintenance was always prompt and courteous fixing and adressing any issues we had. If you are nasty to the maintenace people, do you really expect quality work in return'
Yes, the appliances are basic, but at least they provide a washer/dryer in the unit. They also provide a microwave/range which is extremely helpful in saving counter space. I don't know what some people expect for rentals''!
I definetly recommend these apartments, the town of Chatham is cute and the commute to work in NYC is a breeze.
