We stayed in Kensington Apt for about a year and found it quite okay for the money we pay. Every apartment has good and bad aspects. here are both sides of Kensington:

BAD THINGS:

1. ROACHES: I assure you will surely experience millions of roaches. They are not so visible in day times.
2. Leasing office people are rude probably because of their ages :)
3. Floors are not noise proof. Be prepared to hear sound/noise from your upper floor and complaints from lower floor.

GOOD THINGS:

1. Vicinity of Walmart, Macys (Woodbridge Mall and Menlo Park Mall), Sears, JC Penny, very cheap Indian grocery shops at Iselin. You name an item you want to shop, you will get within 2-3 miles.
2. We used to experience freqent problems of Roaches, Water leakage, Oven not working, crack on wall, paints swelling out etc. Everytime maintenance people used to come within 24 hours to resolve the problem. Honestly roaches are the creatures that cannot be wiped out. You kill thousands and they will spawn another millions.
3. VERY CHEAP: You get heater, cooking gas, water/sewage free. That apart, rent is cheaper in that locality
4. Beautiful jogging/walking trail (remember you are in NJ, you usually don't see such things elsewhere)
5. Ample parking space, good maintenance,
