You get what you pay for................

I did not complete my lease and subleased it. Couldn't wait to get out of there as quickly as possible. Basically, you get what you pay for. The rent is one of the lowest in Fort Lee for a high rise w/ doorman. Utilities are included, which is great; however, the appliances are pure crap. Air conditioner/heaters do not work properly; they looked like they were made pre WWII. The sink was always clogging.
The place is simply disgusting. I don't think they ever clean the floor carpet or the hallway walls on the floors above the lobby. The lobby looks ok, but check out the other floors above. Once I found dog sh$t in the elevator. The elevators are just disgusting, and one of the three elevators had alot of problems (i.e. sudden stop while moving), which they were constantly fixing.
Also, when I moved in they never repainted the walls. It was just spot painted w/ a different color. Laughable, my apartment walls looked like grafiti that you see at NYC subways. Management wouldn't paint, also they didn't have a key for the top lock, so that I had to buy my own lock. Management is a total joke.
Also, they should change the name of the complex to "Roach Motel". I didn't even cook, and I had roaches just crawling all over the kitchen.
The 2nd floor has a back entrance. I encountered often people at the back entrance waiting for someone to come out so that they can get in. No security camera at the back entrance. Not very safe.
Laundry facility is a joke. 2/3 of washers or dryers don't work, and they are so dirty. Don't even think about doing the laundry on the weekends; none are available, unless you are willing to stand there waiting hours for one to open up. One time, I was waiting at the laundry facility, and the company guy who came to collect the quarters into bags, just put a whole bunch of quarters in his pocket. Must be a NJ mafia thing.
Oh, and the weekly fire alarms......a loud, high pitched noise of hell throughout the whole complex, which can last 10-15 minutes. Sounds exactly the Saurons in the Lord of the Rings movie. The best is when you get those alarms 3 or 4 in the morning. If you decide to move in here, get very good earplugs.
Only positives.....the older Korean doorman (can't remember his name, but worked mostly weekday nights) and Jim, who worked weekday mornings. Both doormen were very nice and helpful. As for the doorman who worked the graveyard shift on weekdays.....he would be there for couple of hours of his shift and then there would be no doorman at all, usually between 02 to 06 am. I know because I usually did my laundry at early mornings, since that was only time I can get access to washer/dryer. However, on the weekends, seems like management basically hires part-time college kids to work as doormen. LOL!
Also, right next to the complex are few groceries (Korean and Japanese), BofA, bakery, drug store, which were convenient.
I would not recommend this place at all, unless you are tight on money and want to live close to NYC w/o having to live in the city.
