I have been living at the Presidential in Fort Lee, NJ for 2.5 years. I live in one of the penthouse units and have been very happy here. The rent is very inexpensive for the area and having all my utilities included is a huge incentive to live here. Everyone complains about everything here, i agree, it's not perfect, but let's be honest, this isn't a Trump building. I have had some issues with the a/c units in my apartment, but these issues are always taken care of before they become an inconvenience. The building has over 200 units and a building of this size is not easy to maintain. We find a cockroach in our kitchen every so often, maybe 6 per year. I had lived in the city for years prior to moving here and in my opinion this building is not half as bad as some of the places i have lived. I keep my place very clean and i take advantage of the extermination services offered which are free of charge. I don't like roaches, but the problem here is hardly big enough for me to move.
As far as the management, if you pay your rent on time, you will have no issues. Donna, the manager, is a great person, have nothing but good things to say about her. She has been very accommodating since she showed me the apartment in 2006 and will always do her very best to address any issues i am having. I'm appalled at some of the reviews people have written regarding her character. This leads me to believe the rest of these people's complaints are exaggerated, if not completely fabricated. I can only speak for myself, but i am resigning my lease here and i plan on staying here indefinitely. Based on the location, the size of the apartments and the parking accommodations this is the best overall building you can live in in the NYC area.

This review is either written by the management itself to boost the rating and trying to attract people to live in this mouse hole or by somebody who is trying to lick managment's ... Not only these aparments are poorly managed you will have lots of problems with leakage, fire alarms and trying to get back the security deposit after vacating this place. For the same amount of money you can get better place to live---just keep on searching!!!

Penthouse unit at Presidential Apartments????? LOL!!!! That's like saying "I'm staying at the executive suite at Motel 6". The complex is run by a bunch of money-stealing, dirty "Yu-tay-in". P.S. Ask the management when it was the last time they cleaned the carpets. I bet it was before 1960's.

I now, after signing a year lease, believe the review is a lie. And the previous two responses are really true.
