Small, clean, mean maintenance staff, MURDER!!!!

I lived at avalon crest in a 1 br apt for 2 years. Overall, I'd say that I was not completely satisfied with the experience. I'll start with the good things about the apt... first, the place was clean and quiet. Each unit has its own washer and dryer and the apt was comfortable (although a bit on the small side). The basketball half court was great. Finally, the garage (if you can get one) was great... I had one right by the front door. It was useful for storing all my boxes.
The bad... The floors are paper thin and the guy living below me would pound on his ceiling when I was walking around in my kitchen. It's not like I was running or jumping or anything. So forget about the home theater system. The maintenance staff was extremely unfriendly... Parking is a total PITA for guests. My girlfriend had to park on the other side of the complex when she came over. The front gate does not sign for packages (so if UPS comes you have to be home... I once had a package stolen from my front door). C'mon, I thought this was a luxury apt''' Lots of little things really got to me.. they had all these "rules" you had to live by.
On the day I was leaving, they had one of their unfriendly maintenance people (Carlos...total assho!e) come by to inspect my apt. He pointed at every speck of dust and said "you have to pay for cleaning that and that and that..." He then said if I pay him $75, he'll sign off the inspection sheet and I wouldn't be billed. What a prick.
One more thing... Some lady was murdered in my building... BY AN AVALON EMPLOYEE!!!! Some guy that was overseeing the avalon edgewater constuction diced up his girlfriend and fled. The cops eventually shot and killed him... I was shocked when I heard this guy was employed by the company. Seriously... true story. I can't make this stuff up.
