Avalon is beautiful, inside and out yes, but it's completely NOT WORTH IT!!! The rent is ridiculous there! I lived in a 3 bedroom apartment, and the rent was over $2,000! That's more than a mortgage. Also, the people in the office have absolutely no idea what they're doing. We were getting notices up to 6 months after we moved in that we didn't sign the necessary papers, and when we would go in to sign them they would just say "Oh yeah, you need to sign this too, we forgot." It just so happened that all of these papers were charges that we weren't told about until AFTER we signed the lease. The windows and doors have absolutely no insulation so in the winter our heating bill was ridiculous, and in the summer the AC bill was even higher. We had maitenance out once to repair our washer and the stupid douchebag spilled bleach all over my clothes, and the office refused to re-emburse me for a new wardrobe. You can hear your neighbors tiniest noise, so when you go to the office to complain, they chalk it up to thin walls and don't do anything about it. The parking is completely ridiculous. I would have to park a block away from my apartment at night, and with the street lights not working, it made it scary. I DO NOT recommend Avalon to anyone, it's way too expensive, and while the apartments are beautiful, not worth the money.
