ill start at the beginning, the day i moved in i was handed a keychain with at least 15 different keys on it and was told good luck figuring out what one is the right one, however there was no right one there was 6 right ones, there was 6 different locks all with a different key, the locks were not changed after the last person moved out, so i changed the locks as soon as i got settled even though they tell you not to or you will be charged $150.the first week i was there the kitchen sink was leaking so i called the office and was told the maintance man would contact me after he got the new faucet, that didnt happen, he just came into my apartment while no one was there and then i noticed 2 days later that the faucet was new. that made me very uncomfortable, what if i was there in the shower' it freaked me out... for an apartment that is pretty old i expected things to not be in excellent condition but it seems that every week i find something else wrong. first off the windows either dont open or shut, my sliding glass door only opens 3 inches easily then i gotta get my boyfriend to open it all the way and he even has to pull hard, the heat only works on 3 on a scale from 1-6, the shower has a mind of its own, it'll be warm and turn boiling hot then freezing cold, whoever they hired to paint the apartments, painted over everything and anything including all the electric outlets and light switches. as far as the laundry rooms, dont even waste your energy carrying your laundry down the stairs, the one in my building has been out of order since i moved in, theres 2 more but the one has a door with a lock on it so u cant get into it, and the other one has 4 washers and 2 are always broken and 2 dryers and one is always broken and the other one never dries completely. theres a couple good things about the apartments, its very quiet here theres alot of different types of people living here most all working class, not many kids at all, when it snowed they started plowing and putting salt down as soon as it started to stick to the ground which made it very easy to get in and out. all in all its a ok place to live if its short term, i signed a 1 yr lease and i will not be renewing it. i'll pay a little more to have a full functioning apartment.
