Yo!

Ugh...

What to say about Crossings... Well I am a Rowan University Student and I have lived here for about a year and a half. Much like other people I'll write some good and bad things.

First, and easiest, the bad:
I don't even know what the reason for this is, but because of errors filling in the lease by the office workers I have had to sign about 6 of them. I actually have one on my table right now that I have to re-sign (but I probably won't) because they wrote the wrong amount of rent on the last one.

This brings me to my 2nd problem. The rent is ridiculous! Rent for a remodeled 1 bedroom aparment is going up to almost $950 a month. That is WAY too much to pay in Glassboro.

On to getting a remodeled apartment. It was so poorly done! The floor in the kitchen isn't attached to the floor along the walls, the counters don't meet up in the corners and are sharp and dangeroud, while placing the all guard in the kitchen and bathroon it looks like they just took one long piece and wrapped in around the whole kitchen and bathroom rather than cutting sized pieces. As far as re-painting goes, my neighbor informed us that they painted the day before we moved in (when they had almost a month to do so). They just painted over everything. The air vents were painted shut, they painted over tape and nails that were in the walls and were used for hanging, there are paint drips all over the floor and shower and they painted all over the wall guards. It looks like a 4 year old did it.

The Parking is an absolute nightmare. You MUST buy a parking pass even though you will probably never park in the actual complex. Each apartment gets 1 spot per bedroom which means you and your roommate will probably fight over who gets the spot resulting in some drama. Also, if you don't park on Crossings property you have to park on the Rowan Campus and they don't offer any type of trolly or shuttle to take residents back and forth resulting in people have to walk around in the dark (and someone was just murdered at Rowan....safe walk right')

The walls are paper thin. You will hear every foot step you neighbors take (whether they are next to you, below you..yes below you, or above you). You will hear their TVs, conversations, fights, parties... everything. And the floors are VERY squeeky and loud as well.

The maintenance is very friendly and does come promptly to fix things, but they don't actually fix anything. Something breaks almost every day and it doesnt get fixed until you do it yourself.

They are very excited to give out fines. I was fined for having spiderweb decorations up on my balcony because it was after Halloween..$25. You get no warning except a very loosly worded explination on the lease.

There is a tennis court that has been in ruins since I got here and it doesnt look like they are making any progress towards fixing it.

They let maintenance and "inspectors" come into your apartment without you being there and you cannot deny the inspectors entrance.

I feel like the people who manage this place take advantage of the fact that most of the residents are students.

There are fruit flies during the warm weather seasons

Few good things:
The people who work in the office are generally nice... depending on who you talk to.

The location close to campus is great.

They pay for gas and water.

That's about it.... Don't live here. Stay on campus if you can. And if you cant find a different complex.
