A Quiet, Safe & Fun Place To Live! From: smileyrenter17 Date posted: 12/10/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   I decided to rent at Wingate Apartments because of the nice landscape, quiet environment, pool, close proximity to Hamilton train station and stores, and the fact that the landlords are respectful and super nice. I moved here early 2006, and I have yet to regret my decision. My apartment was thoroughly cleaned before moving in. They even provided me with new blinds! Water pressure is excellent, and there's always plenty of hot water. The layout of the apartment is spacious with the biggest bedroom I have ever seen! The hardwood floors are beautiful (they make sure the floors are well buffed before you move in). The kitchen includes a frig, a huge pantry closet, gas stove, sink, and plenty of counter space. If you get a corner apartment, you'll have a window in the kitchen, which is nice. The dining room has a ceiling fan. The living room has 4 windows, a storage closet, air conditioner, and a corner area perfect for a computer desk. There are also many outlets. The bedroom has a closet (I wish it were a bit bigger though), 2 windows, and lots of space for a queen or bigger mattress, bookshelf, drawer, exercise equipment, TV, and end table. There's no air conditioner, but you can request to have one installed. The bathroom is blue and white, which also has a window. There's a huge closet next to the bathroom, perfect for towels and other storage. In the summer, the pool is such a nice bonus! It's big, always clean, and there is a lifeguard on duty. It's usually open from noon to 8 pm every day. The rental community is fairly large, so it's great for walking or biking. There are lots of trees and big courtyards for picnics, barbecuing, and recreation. Each complex has its own laundry room and mail boxes. I rarely ever have to wait for an open washer. There is off-street and on-street parking; I never have to worry about NOT getting a spot. I was locked out of my apt once, but the maintenance guy was nice enough to let me in with NO CHARGE. Other than that, I've never had any problems with appliances or pests. The landlords live on the premises, and they are the sweetest people I know. My friends and family can't get over how quiet it is here. And it's very safe. For all this, the rent is WELL WORTH IT! I would stay here next year when my lease is up, but unfortunately they don't accept dogs; only cats. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESIDENTAL COMMUNITY!!!!!
