I am living since 3 years and only problem is roaches not much but sometimes I am able to see 10-15 but now I am expert to killing them ... Ya but other than that never had any issue and feeling most secure place to live. Advantages like free Rutgers buses to New Brunswick train station for NY and/or Trenton.
In look, it's very old apartments but from inside spacious and better. The most excellent thing I like is the management and maintenance. I had some issues and maintainance guys were here in max. 1-2 hours. Compare to other apartments near to this area, rent is OK and never had issue in winter. All windows are well maintained and never thought to buy extra heater. A/cs are old in some apartments but working fine so no complaints.
Yes, cannot compare 15000 apartments with this but would advice to go for it! Make sure you don't bring bedbugs with you and you are happy! I heard complaints about bedbus in few blocks but luckily never had issue.
So go for it!
