I would say not worth the price

I am a tenant here. Would like to share my experiences so far for future tenants.
I moved here because I liked the surroundings. There is nothing special about apartments themselves. They are very old apartments, I think 1940 or may be before that.
Just to clarify the previous review about cleanliness of apt:
In my experience, my apts was messy especially kitchen. There were so many glaring stains on kitchen tiles (it took me about 3 hours to get rid of them with strong cleaning liquid ). Cooking range top surface was clean but when I moved the range, it was total mess. Refrigerator was also a big disappointment.
Pros:
*Close to highways - 287, Rt18, Rt27
*Close to university
*Lot of greenry due to university
*Maintenance guy is good
*Enough parking
Cons:
*Apts are tiny (esp 1 bedroom)
*Apts are really old, you can hear cranking noise while climbing stairs or in side house while walking.
*No exhaust in bathroom. The bathroom window is facing street, so you cannot even open it as it is wierdly placed just by the shower. So, whole apt stinks unless you use some fragrance continuosly.
*Only 1 tennis court (for about 200 or so tenants - assuming 2 person / apt). I think it exist for namesake.
*Tiny swimming pool even by conservative standard. If 20 people are there at same time, it would be mess.
*No cycle stand.
*Bathroom doors make cranking noise when you open or close them, since they are so old.
* For some reason, electricity bills can go out of control even if you do not use whole lot of appliances etc.
* Dryer and washer (small) installed can hold only 5-6 clothes at once. So, if you do laundry weekly, you will probably need to run atleast 3 loads.
Though owner of this property looks like a big philanthropist (searched google).
IMO, these guys are kind of greedy. If treetops (the adjacent apts managed by some other realty company) increase rent by 100$, Forest Glen increase it by 150$. I think this is also a marketing gimmick - that when you sell something for more price even though they are same/similar, the buyer thinks the one which is being sold for more should be definitely better.
So, guys beware. Not so great for the price you would be paying for these apts. I am not sure how do they justify these kind of rents for such old property which is falling apt, but due to layers and layers of paint it looks good.

If you are that unhappy I would think you would have moved already maybe to Treetops since its much nicer and cheaper in your opinion.
