The apartments are indeed wonderful. They are redone before you move in and everything is in great condition. The complex itself is nice though it is nestled within a residential area that is at times a bit interesting. Although Highland Park is generally a safe town, OG is located on the edge of Highland Park and so you will sometimes find unruly or intimidating groups of people wandering throughout the complex at night.

The BIGGEST issue at OG is parking. If you are home by around 8p, you will probably find a spot in your parking lot or on the street, however, anytime after that...good luck. I once spent 45 minutes at midnight trying to find a spot anywhere in the area (spanning a few blocks) - absolutely NOTHING. I ended up parking about 4 blocks away and walking home, which was a little nerve-racking to say the least. More than half the time I can never find a place to park and I end up crashing at friends & relatives places because I refuse to park blocks away and walk home. I also find it ridiculous that I have to come by a curfew time if I want to find parking. The lots are "reserved" for residents only but there is no mechanism in place to enforce said parking restrictions.

All in all the apartments are lovely and management is respectable. It's the parking that is awful, and for me personally, that is a big enough deal to not want to live somewhere. I recommend looking into parking availability if you come home at different times, especially later in the evening.
