Location is Good...Management is Bad

The location is very good. It is next to the Hoboken W, and a 10 second walk away from the Sinatra Drive promenade. They are also building another waterfront park just in front of the building.
The building itself is kind of plain...the typical popcorn ceiling, paper-thin walls, etc. The management is not too responsive to the needs of the tenants. They hardly fix anything. Only two maintenance guys (as far as I know) for the whole building which has more than 600 units. For instance, the side doors of the building slam (once a glass pane shattered as a result), but they just won't fix it. It's been at least 2 years. They keep saying that they are going to replace the door...but I doubt that would ever happen.
And they keep raising rent, but hopefully this will slow down given the harsh recession. Overall, rent is expensive for Hoboken.
The people who work here are nice. But the management office is terrible. Courtney is really bad. I am not quite sure why she's able to keep her job. The new manager (Dan or Don) is kind of useless. The other person that was here before (Sasha) was much better.
Overall...it's ok. If you are living in Manhattan, the rent should not surprise you. It's an easy place to live. But expect the management to be unresponsive and at times rude.
