My husband and I have lived here for the past 2.5 years. We have mixed feelings about the Curling Club.

We love that it's 2 bedroom/2 bathroom. I feel like it's a decent size for the price, compared with other places in Hoboken. When repairs need to be done, the maintenance man comes and completes them quickly. They just replaced all the hot water heaters in all of the buildings.

Also, they just remodeled the gym facility...it's REALLY nice now. There are about 6 treadmills and 5 elliptical machines, a tv and sound system, ab machine, free weights, 3 bikes, etc. Very nice gym for an apartment complex. These upgrades were LONG overdue, as the old gym was falling apart and HORRIBLE!

Although the indoor parking is expensive $210/month, it is REALLY worth it in the winter. However, when we first moved in, both of our cars were broken into on seperate occasions. The garage doors used to be broken fairly often and the first time, someone came in and broke into 7 or 8 cars. They did actually catch the guy, but we didnt' get our stuff back. The second time, my husband left his satellite radio in the car and they must have thought it was a gps and broke in. However, for the past 2 years there have been no issues as far as I know. The garage could definitely stand to be more secure, though.

The office manager, Doris, is not the friendliest, most accomodating person we've met. She really wouldn't do anything to help you out. It seems as though she could care less if we're happy here. But the maintenance manager, Melvin, is awesome. Great guy, and very helpful.

We haven't had the problem about the high electric bills. Actually, our bills are lower here than at our last place, so it seems fine to me. And our apt is always at a comfortable temperature.

The biggest problem we have is the PIGEONS!! All of the units don't have this problem, but for the ones that do...it's horrible. Our balcony is constantly covered in pigeon crap, and it's revolting. And they really won't do anything to keep them away. Doris has really been unhelpful in this situation. So, if you are moving in, I would request to see the unit you will be moving into, not just the model unit, to make sure your balcony isn't covered in crap. It's really disgusting.

The walls are pretty thin, too. We can hear the kid above us jumping and running, and if the neighbors are being loud in their bedroom, we can hear that in our bedroom.
