Since Archstone have taken over, the management of the place has gone downhill. I had a 25% rent increase last June, following which things worsened not improved. My balcony was out of action for 3 months due to waterproofing. Every time I complained, they said sonmeone would see to it, but nothing happened. I work from home most days and never saw any workmen there during this period. After repeated complaints to the management company and a threat to go to the regional manager someone finally came up and fixed the paving. I still don't feel that the balocny is entirely useable and poses a health and safety risk.

Archstone repeatedly make promises to fix things but never get round to doing it. A notice went up 2 weeks ago saying that the windows will be cleaned. I've had confimration from their staff that this was never completed.

They have another property in hoboken, the Grand Adams, which is rodent infested and has been for the last few months. Since they can't get the apartments rented, they are now selling of this building. It seems that we are having to bear the brunt of the lossses they are experiencing there.
