DO NOT MOVE HERE

I have been planning my move out of this place since the first month I moved in - the only thing this god forsaken hell-hole has going for it is its convenience to the Ferry, grocery store, etc. Unless you want to drive around for an hour, a parking spot will cost you $300/month. Bringing guests to the pool will cost you $10/person/day. Nevermind - you won't want to use the pool - it's yellow, due to the outrageous number of screaming children in it all day long. Guests are not allowed in the gym. Sliding glass doors do not come with blinds. I have gotten locked out on my balcony 3 times due to a faulty lock. Two of my outlets spark. My front door and bedroom door are hinged improperly. My parkay floors crack and come unglued. My bathroom ceiling is cracked and caving in. No amount of begging or pleading will convince management to fix any of this. Speaking of the management office, the staff is completely clueless (to the point of wondering if 6 year olds could run the place better) and the upper management is so atrociously rude, they make the calmest person consider taking medication prior to visiting them. The turnover rate in this complex is shocking - I know, because they only have 2 elevators in each building, and one is always tied-up, moving someone out - or some unsuspecting victim in... Do yourself a favor - find the nearest cardboard box on 14th and Washington - you'll be a lot happier there.

I would like to give you a heads up. Document with photographs EVERYTHING in the apartment after you have moved your furniture out. Applied Management has a history of screwing ex-tenants. Two roommates and I lived at Constitution North for 3 years from 2003 to 2006. The floor had normal wear and the building was 5 years old at the time. They sent us a bill for $7000 for new floors and new carpet (which was replaced a year earlier due to leaking walls). We refused and provided photos of the floors and carpets, their F*$@ing lawyers ignored our evidence and then quietly got a summary judgment. Their claim is still being disputed with our lawyers. We of course have NOT and WILL NEVER pay APPLIED MANAGEMENT for their thinly veiled cost recovery scheme! Speaking with a number of other former tenants, all have received damage claims of various sizes to cover painting and flooring, etc. Landlords are responsible for maintenance of interior (i.e. repaint, recarpet) with the exception of abuse / damage. Get a copy of the Tenants Rights Handbook, city hall has them. Also check with city hall on recent complaints and investigations against APPLIED MANAGEMENT.
