This building looks very nice on the outside, but the shortcuts taken to construct it do not warrant the 'luxury' or even premium label. I have lived in NYC and in another real luxury building in J.C. This is the worst of my homes. Aside from the outrageous costs for utilities (more than 8x what I paid locally on an equivalent basis), the poor construction only exacerbates my frustration. I need to pay PSE&G to generate heat via incredibly inefficient heating units to try to overcome the cold air that blows into my apartment thru crevices and electrical sockets. During the coldest days of winter, it was impossible to warm the apartment to a comfortable temperature even if cost was no object. In addition, the gym will be an independently managed business that just happens to be on site....It opening has been delayed at least two months (which I was required to pay for anyway), and will require fully exiting the building to enter to gym.
If you decide to move here, make sure you factor is an additional 10% of your rent for utilities when you compare to other properties in this area.

I read many comments regarding utility bills and etc. I agree the bills are ridiculous. This place is poorly insulated and the screen on the windows did banged pretty loud when I first moved in. I made a point taken it down myself anf noise and problems solved. The heater sometimes blow out cold air for now apparent reason. My heating bill is over $300 for a a bedroom apt-and and have it off during the day.The building was poorly constructed and of course they didn't give a ----. However, the staff here are great and the H gym next door is a plus. Parking could be cheaper for residents! Overall a 3* out of 5*. Does anyone know if we could negotiate lease in this downward economy???
