Probably the biggest mistake in renting an apt i've ever made. Sure it's new, and looks nice (waterfall, amenity room, pool) but when you're freezing in your apt, you won't care about that stuff. We are literally cold from Nov - March in this apt. Our first PSE&G bill last year was $425. Management pretends to help by sending a non-qualified maint person to sloppily slap the wrong kind of sealant around the windows - still didn't stop the ridiculous draft coming from the windows. I spent hours putting up plastic insulation myself - when i was done the draft and the air pressure from the windows kept popping the plastic off - no type of tape was strong enough to hold the pressure. They even raised our rent in this awful mkt, and when we found out they stopped doing it to people one month after us, we complained. They didn't offer us our previous rate, instead they offered one month free on an extended 13mo lease. Save yourself the aggravation and find a different apt. All included (rent, PSE&G, parking) we paid about $2800/mo for a 1BR - way too much for JC. Our new apt is just as close to the PATH, a 3BR, 400sqft larger in a 3 yr old building for $1975 (including pkg) - you do the math. One month's difference in rent is the Club-H membership (which was a nice semi-perk as you still had to pay $500 for it). BTW, a dog or cat will cost you an extra $50/mo in rent - what a joke. We are finally moving out!
