I currently live in the 341 Monmouth Street part of the Dixon Mills.

The HVAC.
It is unusually cold in my room. It is near freezing temperatures in my bathroom. I reported this to the management office. Their reply was that everyone's bathrooms are cold. Unfortunately, that is not true. My roommates room is nice and warm and his bathroom is well heated.

The Noise.
The noise isn't too bad once you get used to it. The first night I was violently awakened at night by loud rattling. I quickly looked outside my window to see two homeless men racing shopping carts down the street; The Homeless Olympics (tm)woke me up! Since that event, police sirens and fire sirens seldom wake me up. Neighbors are reasonable with their noise too.

Parking
I am nearing the end of my lease. I waited a year to get outdoor parking, not even indoor parking. Forunately, street parking is only a minor inconvience. Be prepared to average about $30 a month in parking ticket.

The good
It is near the path station, several delis are open late, and the Holland Tunnel is easy to get to.
