It is not that bad. if you want a lilly white neighborhood then move to Hoboken. It is not drug infested at all but if you look hard enough I guess you can find something. If you fear seeing someone with a brown face then again move to Hoboken. The buildings are old and the service can be slow but they get to you. The rental office has some folks who are dopes and the uptight rental chick is gone. They allow dogs so there is crap around from those who don't clean up. It is an urban area, but it is safe and they have good security. The tenancy is diverse with ------, whites, asians. Mostly professionals. I ve been there 2 years and have had no problems aside from basic maintainence. Parking is safe, but as in any location the closer to the main bldg the better. I have a great top floor bi-level unit that is wonderfully lit with a HUGE MASSIVE deck and a view of Manhattan. For the money and a 2 minute walk to the PATH it is a great value for me! You can pay alot more and upgrade to a more modern complex, but it ain't that bad.
