The noise noise noise noise noise! Your upstairs neighbor might as well be your roomate, because you will hear every bump (and i do mean every) and thud in their apartment. And if they are loud enough, entire phone conversations and other personal things you'd just rather not hear. Everybody has a pet and you can tell by the smell. The layout is extremely complicated and you will need a good two months to discover how to get to your apartment from outside in the fastest route possible.
