Not the best, BUT NOT THE WORST

Years at this apartment: 1993 - 2004
Rent is due on the 1st of the month; they will give you until the 6th to pay before late charges, and the 8th before eviction proceedings (I learned the hard way. LOL). Apts. are decent for the rent offered, but things do fall apart sometimes. Maintenance staff is pretty good, but probably under-staffed since days pass between placing repair order and receiving assistance. The place has a nice shuttle bus to the PATH station (4 blocks away), which is great when it rains. Surrounding neighborhood is in flux; includes low-class loud and obnoxious people, as well as Yuppy obnoxious people. There is clearly some small gentrification occurring.
Overall, it's decent for the rent, but if you can afford Newport area, go there.
